Our Provenance Burnt Terracotta Vases are handmade in Bagru, India using traditional pottery wheels and wood fired kilns. Their characteristic hazy matte-black hue is created by double firing the terracotta. In the second firing, the primitive fire kiln is covered with sand, causing smoke to transform classic orange terracotta to coveted moody black. With a dramatic silhouette, natural texture and monochromatic tone they are a simplistic yet eye catching addition. Each piece will have subtle differences in finish and these variations are part of the handmade appeal. Unglazed terracotta is porous and should not be used to hold water.

All of our orders ship out of Walkerton, ON. We created flat rate zones for all across Canada (remote areas not included). Our flat rate shipping is $20 but may exclude large furniture pieces, artwork, rugs or overweight/oversized items.  The item will have a shipping disclaimer in the description.
